Wales C will take on their English counter parts on Tuesday, 20th March at Jenner Park, Barry.
Manager Mark Jones selected the Wales side from the 12 teams that make up the Welsh Premier League.
The citizens number 16 has established himself as one of the first names on the team sheet and the call up is just rewards for the hard work that he's put in over a long season.

This week Sport Thought had the pleasure to sit down with Daniel to discuss his recent Wales C call up.
Q. How does it feel having been called up for the Wales C team? A. Amazing feeling to get the call up. Being selected to represent your country at any level is a great achievement and something I’ve dreamt of so it’s a proud moment for me personally. Q. Do you believe that a Wales C team allows local talents a platform to display their abilities? A. Of course, I definitely believe it’s a platform for local talent to showcase their ability. It’ll be a great game to play in and if you look at the previous England C team, many have progressed on to play at a very high level. |

Q. What qualities as a player do you believe you can bring to this team, are there any modifications you believe you'll need to make when playing international compared to your Welsh premier duties?
A. I believe I’ve been selected from the qualities I’ve shown in the CDM role. Which would be my work rate for the team, passing, breaking down play, strength, strong tackles, playing quickly and simple. I approach every game with the same mindset and give it my all. There will be some modification depending on my roles and the opponents but it’s something you take in quickly as a footballer and adapt to. Q. What do you think about the opponents? A. I think England C will no doubt be a tough opposition, but I’m looking forward to the challenge and hopefully do enough to impress our manager in training camps to earn a spot to face them! Q. Are there any players who are usually your rivals that your looking forward to linking up with? A. I’m looking forward to meeting up with the team and training with all players who are usually rivals but it’ll be a good experience to train/play along side them. Thank you to Daniel for taking the time out to answer the questions and good luck for the remainder of the season It is of Sport-Thoughts opinion that Daniels international call up is far from being his career pinnacle but merely a step towards greater things for club and country. |
